Helpful Information

  • Sound is created by a vibrating object. Those vibrations travel through the air as waves, which have different frequencies. When those frequencies reach your ear, they are changed into electrical signals, which the brain interprets differently depending on the frequency. Different sounds offer different vibrations.

  • Sound Healing is the use of specific instruments, music, tones, and other sonic vibrations to balance and heal the body, mind, and spirit. It is an ancient practice that has evolved over time, building up from new tools and applications. This includes speech and the human voice.

  • The brain emanates subtle electromagnetic frequencies that can be measured the same way we measure sound. The higher the frequency, the more present you are in reality. How present you are can also be described as your level of consciousness. From high to low, the wave states are:

    1. Gamma

    2. Beta

    3. Alpha

    4. Theta

    5. Delta

  • Entrainment is a phenomena in physics where one entity begins following the natural rhythm or vibration of another. Think of the way two separate heartbeats can end up synchronizing when two people hold each other.

In sound healing it is a type of synchronization, in which a person begins to vibrate at the frequency received from an instrument vibrating at that specific frequency.

In the brain, this creates resonance, or matching vibrations. Your brain can hear something and it’s natural frequencies will change to resonate with what it is hearing.

  • Neurolinguistic Programming is a developing technique in psychotherapy used to “reprogram” thoughts, beliefs and behaviors. It uses language to guide your brain to naturally arrive at desired conclusions, based on preexisting information that has been proven to give results.

For example, if you want to understand wealth, repetitively listening to 5 minutes of a financially successful individual speaking on his beliefs about money may help program you to think in that same way.

  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy aims to change our thought patterns, our conscious and unconscious beliefs, our attitudes, and, ultimately, our behavior, in order to help us face difficulties and achieve our goals.

It is one of the most helpful and used tools in modern psychology that can yield life-changing results when applied and practiced.

  • Chakras are the energy centers of the body. They are located in the astral body, along the spine, starting at its base and running upwards to the crown of the head. The astral body is the energy body residing inside our physical body.

Each energy center is associated with different aspects of life, and when one of these centers is blocked, it could lead to feelings of frustration or feeling stuck in those aspects. They can be unblocked through wellness practices like yoga, meditation and sound healing.

  • The Higher Self is simply your energy in it’s purest form. It is our divine form, the little part of Source (God, the Universe) that we are born with. This energy powers our vessel (the body). It has also been called the Subconscious or Soul.

It is who we become when we are able to separate ourselves from our mind and our emotions. When we can simply observe our thoughts and emotions instead of being them, we are operating from the seat of our Conscious, or Higher Self. It allows us to use higher faculties like imagination and creativity to manifest things in reality.

  • The Levels of Consciousness are a theory proposed by Quantum Physicists and Spiritual Gurus alike. In physics, it is the idea of the quantum field derived from Wave-Particle Theory and String Theory. In spirituality, it is the idea of the astral plane, astral body and path to enlightenment.

Both sustain the concept of different dimensions, ranging from 1st to 10th dimension (sometimes up to a 12th). As we ascend through these levels of consciousness, our expanded awareness allows us different perspectives of reality.

The concept is best understood at it’s most fundamental level through the work of David R. Hawkins and his Map of Consciousness, which give us a way to relate Consciousness to Human Emotions.
